Yes, it happened.
And No, I am not proud of it.
But, yea, it was fun. And cute.
Following the lousy day of Valentines, I badly wanted to set things right, atleast to some extent and hence asked to catch up. Fast forwarding the fuss that happened to make this happen, S picked me up and we rode to the Marina, the adda of solace.
We were cozily placed on the bed of sands. It was rather a long series of cajole, contend and consolation. And that's when it happened - As a matter of habit, I removed my ring, only to put it on back immediately. In a jiffy, it simply slipped. On the sand.
I sat frozen, for I did not want the sands to gulp my ring off. S, as reflex grabbed the nearby phone and switched on the torch. Believe me, that is all happened. Nobody moved, no coordinates changed. Yet, the ring was nowhere to be seen.
I tried enacting the scene over and over again, to locate the possible point of drop. In vain.
If there was something that S ever told me during the search - "Dont move !"
At a point, he was all anxious, looking for the ring in that small diameter of a place, also not wanting to disturb the sands much and I started hearing funny voices in my head, couldn't help but smile. Also coz, I had nothing to do other than - not move !
It was actually like watching a magic show, back in school - when you drop something into the hat, but the hat remains absolutely empty. After much of a struggle, he found it a little deep into the sand, guess it had fallen on its circumference.
Sigh !
Yea, and the fun/ cute part - he offered to slip it on ! *eeeeee*
